How to set up 2016 to get success both personally and for your service department.

Tony Orlando, VP of Partner Development at Confident Financial Solutions has four tips that can transform your service department into a more profitable and well oiled machine.

1. Use technology well. This will help you decrease average repair times and better manage the flow of service traffic. It will also increase tech productivity.

2. Communication. Offer multiple ways for your customers to contact a service advisor. Check with your CRM vendor to see what they offer and train your department on it’s use. This will allow relevant personnel to check vehicle status, see inspection results and service recommendations.

3. Offer more service financing options at each touch point so customers can afford them. Train your employees to ask customers if they would like to pay with cash, check, credit or financing.

4. Pay attention to your website. According to a google study, every month, about 70 million searches on google are for aftermarket services. Update your website so your online presence is just as valuable as your in-store presence. Make sure to have financing options highlighted. Take these steps today for a successful 2016 and beyond!
