Have you gotten in the habit of rushing through the oil change process, that you’re forgetting that the point isn’t to rush, but to maximize revenue?

The National Automobile Dealers Association reports that dealers are only capturing 23 percent of the oil-change market- a big factor in this low statistic is customers perceived high prices and ineffective phone calls from employees.

According to Wards Auto, in order to increase your oil-change market share, you need to create awareness. Have a page on your site dedicated to quick lube and use effective marketing plans to attract customers to your store.

You can also run the service as a stand alone business with a dedicated manager and staff. Your objective here should be to allow a customer to drive in without an appointment and have the process completed within 45 minutes.

Maximize revenue by up-selling items like air filters, wiper blades, light bulbs, belts, and cabin filters.
